The 1731 Single Origin Rum Panama 8 Years old is a Panama rum from the Varela Hermanos Distillery bottles by the independent rum bottler 1731.

In 1731 the British navy decided to provide a cup of rum to each sailor each and every day as a part of his wage. 1731 Rum is an ode to that.

The rums under this label are not coloured nor is any sugar added and they have all fully aged in the climate of the distillery. This 8 year old Panama rum matured in a bourbon cask and was bottled at 46% ABV.

Nose: Orange citrus fruit with old school "sour candy" followed by fresh tea leaves and a hint of cigarette smoke

Taste: White spices with wet leaves and warming oak aromas

Finish: Spicy and cooled down by vanilla and cream
