A departure from Kilkerran's typically lightly peated single malt, the Heavily Peated Kilkerran is released twice per year at cask strength and around 45PPM. Although the maturation can vary, it is typically matured predominantly in Bourbon casks. 

Cask Maturation: 90% Bourbon & 10% Sherry 

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Creamy butterscotch, caramel, rye bread and tea leaf.

Palate: Oily & smoky, with Iberico ham and brandy snaps.

Finish: Lemon sherbet, honeycomb and mint with peat carrying through in a gentle finish.
