Master Blenders Reserve Rum 2024 Edition

For the 2024 release, Master Blender, Oliver Chilton, included a higher percentage of Barbadian rums to accentuate the rich tropical fruits with the blend.

Re-imagining the lost art of naval perpetual blending, Oliver began with rum drawn from last year's Master Blender's Reserve 2023. Casks were then selected from Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana and Jamaica. These were then married together with our perpetual reserve and original navy rum flagons, layered and perfectly balanced to produce an incredibly fruit-driven blend.

Tasting Notes:

Thick with manuka honey, toasted vanilla sticks and dried mango, matched against sweet citrus. Light notes of liquorice and bitterness balance the tropical sugar.

The Blend

BARBADOS 60% - Famous elegant notes of tropical fruits, vanilla and coconut.

TRINDAD - A lighter column still rum, with flavours of stone fruit and vanilla.

GUYANA - A pot & column still rum, with heavier notes of tonka bean, chocolate and liquorice.

JAMAICA - A pot sill rum with distinctive funk-driven, tropical fruit characteristics.

PERPETUAL BLEND - Each year, we keep aside a proportion of our previous year's Reserve blend to use as a base for the next.
