SINGLE MALT CAMPBELTOWN SCOTCH WHISKY

The master blender at Glen Scotia Distillery hand selects casks from our reserve cellar, replicating traditional Victorian values that are honoured with this expression.

Each cask is chosen for its rare character and exceptional maturity. Finished in deep charred oak, the result is an exceptionally smooth single malt whisky where the aroma and flavour work in harmony.

Bottled in the traditional way straight from the cask without filtration, it's subtle wood and vanilla flavour is enhanced by a full bodied spicy fruit aroma and mildly smoky after-taste.

This magnificent liquid is bottled at 54.2%abv.

Non-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: An elegant nose with hints of oak driving the bouquet. Interesting creme brulee notes leading to generous caramelised fruits and finally polished oak.

Taste: Sweet and concentrated start with some jammy blackcurrant fruitiness. A big mid palate. Typical tightening towards the back palate. Becomes more austere with water.

Finish: Clean and initially sweet.The green bean, with cocoa characteristic.

About the Distillery

Since 1832, Glen Scotia has been shaped by people, time and events – as well as the history of Campbeltown itself. Campbeltown is a very special place in Scotland, referred to as ‘the centre of the universe’ by some of its current residents. With an abundance of rich farmland, local barley, peat and fresh water, it was almost inevitable it would become a vital part of the history of whisky distilling. Today, Glen Scotia continues to thrive at the heart of the whiskiest place in the world. Glen Scotia is a fine example of this historic region.
