$104.00

Amrut Indian Single Malt Whisky

Single Malt 46%

FROM THE LAND OF THE GREAT HIMALAYAS

Made using all-Indian barley, grown in the Punjab at the foothills of the Himalayas, malted in Delhi, then brought closer to the gods in Bangalore with distillation and maturation at 3000 feet above sea level.

COLOUR: Golden Yellow

TASTING NOTE:
NOSE:
Distinctly confident liquorice and bourbon notes with a near perfect bitter-sweet balance of burnt honeycomb and toffee.

TASTE:
Outstanding, rich barley and oak sweetness; there is a big bourbon style with liquorice and demerara sugar—with malt biscuit notes adding an extra dimension.

FINISH:
Long, wonderfully layered oak, offering variations of sweetness and dryness—a silky mouthfeel with butter toffee at the close.

About the Distillery

Amrut are the pioneers of Indian single malt whisky being the first to be made in India. Amrut or amrita is a Sanskrit word which can be translated as "nectar of the gods", "nectar of life", or "drink of the gods". The distillery sources its barley from the Himalayas and ages the whisky at an altitude of over 3,000 feet above sea level in Bangalore. In this climate, the angels take way more than their share as up to 15% ABV of the whisky is lost per year. The resulting spirit has netted Amrut with hundreds of awards around the globe.

"Great quality is not a choice,
It is the inevitable result of the environment we create."
