Amrut, Triparva, Triple Distilled Indian Single Malt (700ml)
Triple Distilled Indian Single Malt
FROM THE LAND OF THE GREAT HIMALAYAS
A limited release from Amrut, Triparva is India's first ever triple distilled single malt whisky, with a release of only 5,400 bottles worldwide. A marvelously tropical creamy and complex dram which is the first of its kind.
Nose: Delicious and fruity. Salted caramel and coconut-vanilla custard work in tandem with a hint of peach and melon.
This hint becomes dominant with plantain and sweet oranges, complemented by subtle hints of oak.
Taste: Gourmet and rich. Fruit cocktail, peach and creamy melon in syrup, followed by plantain, citrus fruits and vanilla custard.
The result is a sweet compote with a rich texture, supported by honey and sorbet.
Finish: Honey and plantain refuse to leave and are joined by sweet spices.
About the Distillery
Amrut are the pioneers of Indian single malt whisky being the first to be made in India. Amrut or amrita is a Sanskrit word which can be translated as "nectar of the gods", "nectar of life", or "drink of the gods". The distillery sources its barley from the Himalayas and ages the whisky at an altitude of over 3,000 feet above sea level in Bangalore. In this climate, the angels take way more than their share as up to 15% ABV of the whisky is lost per year. The resulting spirit has netted Amrut with hundreds of awards around the globe.
"Great quality is not a choice, It is the inevitable result of the environment we create."
