Since the 2022 release that won San Francisco Spirits Best in Show 2022, this limited edition release of only 1,514 bottles has become not only desired for the taste and high strength for such an old whisky, but also due to it's scarcity.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas - Rich notes of beeswax polish followed by zesty tangerine and stewed raisin with hints of ginger and cinnamon spice. Fragrant red apple aromas develop with a hint of toffee and oak.
Palate - Cracked black pepper leads to intense orange marmalade, followed by sweet dried tobacco and dried fruits.
Finish - A long and full bodied finish with charred oak and a faint hint of cigar box.

About the Distillery

Benromach is a traditional Speyside distillery owned by a family of whisky-lovers intent on making single malt the right way with true character. A handful of distillers relying entirely on expertise and senses to make the finest handmade whisky; Speyside single malt matured exclusively in first-fill casks, with a subtly smoky character along with their renowned Red Door Gin. Recalling the Speyside tradition of topping up fires with cuts of peat when coal ran low, the Scottish barley is grown locally and malted with a little peat smoke to Benromach's exact specifications before being ground into grist in their 120 year-old four-roller Boby Mill. They specify a lightly peated barley, giving te whiskies their distinctive Speyside character.
