Hunter Laing, Authors Series Blair Athol 1989 31YO (700ml)

Hunter Laing, First Editions Authors' Series

Blair Athol 1989 (31YO)

45.6% 700ml

Paying tribute to great writers of years past, we are proud to present a new range of bottlings, the First Editions Authors’ Series.
Each Authors’ Series release is dedicated to a particular figure, e.g. Dickens, Poe, Kipling, featuring a photograph or drawing of them on the front label and a paragraph detailing their history on the back. The wax-sealed, decanter-like bottles are presented in a handsome hinged gift box and the whiskies themselves are selected by Andrew Laing as especially rich and complex casks from distilleries across Scotland.
With this in mind, an Authors’ Series single malt whisky is the perfect companion to a quiet evening with a classic novel.

This bottling is dedicated to Arthur Schnitzler (Austrian author and dramatist)

Distilled: May 1989
Bottled: March 2021
Outturn: 236
Maturation: Single Sherry Hogshead

Tasting Notes:

After 31 years of maturation in Sherry Hogshead, this Blair Athol first shows a fruity start with a delicate coffee scent, followed by pleasant cinnamon and ginger notes on the palate – very complex.
