The latest release in the Peat in Progress series, launched in 2021: the Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch n°5.

This cracking Campbeltown whisky is matured in a mix of 85% ex-bourbon and 15% ex-sherry casks, bottled at cask strength.  

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Maritime smoke, roasted oak, toasted cereals, a sweet hint of brown sugar atop flaky pastry, oat cakes.

Palate: Freshly baked Bramley apple pie and sweet salted caramel. The peat is prolific yet well integrated alongside flavours of digestive biscuits.

Finish: Rich peat and windswept beaches throughout the finish.
