Loch Lomond, Inchmurrin 12YO (700ml)
Loch Lomond Distillery - Inchmurrin 12YO
LOCH LOMOND DISTILLERY, ISLAND COLLECTION
The enchanting isle of Inchmurrin is the largest of Loch Lomond’s islands and was once home to a chapel built by Christian monks in the 7th century.
Known as the ‘grassy isle’, it is soft, rounded and wonderfully wooded—attributes sought after in many a malt.
Large enough to support a small community, Inchmurrin lends its name to three distinctive whiskies in the island collection—each unique, but all sharing the characteristics which make this range beautifully different.
Inchmurrin Whisky is distilled in the unique stills that give the whisky light, floral and grassy notes.
Nose: Creamy sweet cereals and allspice. Toffee apples and pear drops. A little caramel and grass clippings.
Palate: Unique as the island itself, with golden barley notes and floral hints of peach blossom, pear, crème caramel, and vanilla and fudge. Dried herbs, candied peels and allspice.
Finish: Medium-long finish. Spicy with hints of cocoa.
It is somewhat fitting that the ‘Grassy isle’ lends its name to this exquisite 12 year old Single Malt.
Aged in three hand selected types of cask, each hand-selected; Bourbon, refill and re-charred casks – these Whiskies are then married together in a balance known only to our master distiller Bill White.
