Cask Strength (Batch 2)

No more than 60 casks make up each cask strength batch, with each cask selected for the notes it will bring to the whisky.
Each batch has a unique code which shows the cask breakdown which enables the recipient, each year, to contrast, compare and explore the different notes that the wood and blending brings to this Islay Scotch Whisky.

#02-2024 brings together Sherry Butts and Hogsheads with Bourbon Barrels and refill Hogsheads to create a multi-layered, complex dram with a combination of rich fruit and smoke flavours.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Bursts of zesty citrus and black pepper, evolving to toasted bread, marmalade, and smoke.

Palate: Fresh with salt, lime, and spices.

Finish: Lingering spices with smoke, and a toffee-like richness.
