Single Malts of Scotland, Linkwood 2008 (14YO) (700ml)
Single Malts of Scotland,
Linkwood 2008 (14YO)
Distilled at Linkwood distillery in 2008 and aged for more than 14 years in a single hogshead, which yielded a total of 124 bottles. This is a whisky that evokes bright days spent in the garden, with its fragrant freshness and orchard fruits.
Nose: As the sun sets over the garden, the blossom on a honeysuckle bush starts to release its heady aroma into the air, mingling with the scent of freshly cut grass. Enjoying this calm, we sip on a glass of chilled apple soda, garnished with a slice of lemon.
Palate: The palate is bright and fruity - notes of peach and pear mingle together with apple and passion fruit. French apple tarts, glazed with apricot jam and the delicate flavours of soft honeyed nectarine round it all off.
Finish: The finish has a slightly green, grassy note that develops over fruit at the end.
